where is this? is it really near phoenix, or is that just the name of the series? it looks so placid and surreal. i really like the feeling i get from looking at these. it looks like a fantasy world.
It was probably 30 minutes outside of phoenix. Your observations are correct it was both placid and surreal. It was monsoon season and these were taken a few minutes before an amazing storm over the blue/green water. In the first one he's holding a slingshot.
